Moving eastwards we have the states of Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Tripura and Arunachal. All these small but beautiful Indians states are still untouched by the modern ways of life. Going southwards we come to Maharashta which is one of the most industrialized states of India. Bombay located in the same state economic capital of the Indian sub - continent and then we have Karnataka with its capital as Bangalore. All these states have different languages and also different lifestyles. The people have different folk dances, music and they also dress up differently. Their ways and modes of worship is also varied and they also have different festivals.

On the southern most tip of India we have the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Kerela is famous for it world famous Kovalam beach and also for its 'Backwaters' or 'Lagoons'. The people here follow mainly the occupation of fishing and they are one of the biggest exporters of seafood worldwide. Again they worship different gods and speak different languages and also eat different food.

Thus from the cross-section India we see that India is a land of different cultures, languages, religions, festivals, dances, music, and different foods. But the uniqueness of India is the fact that even with so much diversity.
